Often overlooked by tourists in a rush to get to Venice, the vast region of Veneto in Italy’s north east overlooks the Adriatic Sea, yet also sits at the feet of the Italian Alps.

Its distinctive climate is perfect for white grapes, the most famous of which are easy drinking Pinot Grigio and Prosecco, as well as Trebbiano.

But there is more to Veneto - with superb Valpolicella and Soave wines and varietals Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Corvina also hailing from this beautiful corner of Italy.
