Clare Valley

Australia’s undisputed home of Riesling, the gently rolling hills of South Australia’s Clare Valley, two hours north of Adelaide, is also home to some of the country’s most historic wineries.

European settlers arrived here in the 1830s, and established vines typically found in their homelands. The warm days and cool evenings encourage gentle fruit ripening, yielding beautifully balanced Rieslings that are renowned for their dry, citrus and minerally character and cellaring capabilities of up to 20 years. The region also produces outstanding Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon.
