Bold, savoury Shiraz is the standout wine style of Heathcote in Victoria’s central highlands.
Standing on some of the world’s most ancient soils, the vineyards of this prized region bask in hot summers and cool winters. These condition yield full-bodied, Shiraz packed with intense red fruit, white pepper and spice flavoured wines which benefit from long cellaring. Slowly making inroads on the Shiraz/Syrah dominance, are other equally impressive reds including Sangiovese, Temperanillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
