Zerella La Gita Etrurian Sangiovese 2016

Complex and textured, with spicy cherry and savoury aromatics. The palate is vibrant and fresh, supported by grainy, chewy tannins and a well-balanced structure. A modern expression of Sangiovese, showcasing the variety’s hallmark tannin profile with energy and finesse. Will benefit from further bottle maturation.

Hand-picked and destemmed without crushing, the fruit was cold soaked for 10 days prior to fermentation. After 20 days on skins, the wine was pressed to oak barrels, 30% of which were new French oak. It was matured on lees for 20 months, then blended and bottled without fining and with minimal filtration.
