Small Victories Eden Valley Shiraz 2023

This wine is vibrant and juicy, yet with a serious note that adds depth. The nose offers hints of red fruits and peppery spice. On the palate, zesty raspberry notes are balanced with a plump core of red fruit in the mid-palate. Peppery, spicy notes lead through to a savory tannin finish, creating a wine with complexity and a satisfying, structured finish.

The base of this wine is made from Craneford fruit, with 13% whole bunch included to add complexity. Mengler fruit also featured a portion of whole bunch, which helped to enhance the wine's lovely primary fruit character. The fruit spent 7-10 days on skins before being pressed and immediately transferred on solids to seasoned French oak for maturation. This method helped to integrate the fruit and oak, creating a balanced, expressive wine.
