Rockcliffe Peaceful Bay Chardonnay 2024

This Chardonnay presents a brilliant pale straw color, with a nose that is beautifully lifted, showcasing stone fruit aromas of white nectarine and cumquat, along with subtle toasty oak nuances. On the palate, it reveals a creamy texture and flavors of fresh honeydew melon, lime, and lemon, creating a vibrant and refreshing balance. The wine's smooth mouthfeel and crisp fruit notes make it an elegant and enjoyable experience.

The Chardonnay was harvested at night to preserve fresh fruit flavors. After crushing and pressing, the juice was cold-settled and racked with light lees to enhance texture. Fermentation occurred in French oak, with regular lees stirring to balance oak, lees, and fruit. Partial malolactic fermentation added richness while maintaining acidity. The wine was then blended, fined, and bottled.
