Donnafugata Sherazade Sicilia DOC Nero d'Avola 2022

Sherazade 2022 has a bright ruby red color with violet reflections. The nose offers a fruity bouquet with notes of plum and cherry, complemented by delicate spicy and balsamic hints. On the palate, the fruitiness is smooth and balanced, revealing a wine of great softness and excellent freshness. The gentle tannins add to its overall smoothness, completing this fragrant and enjoyable wine.

The Nero d'Avola grapes, used to produce Sherazade, were harvested between mid-August and the first week of September. The fermentation took place in stainless steel with maceration on the skins for approximately 6-8 days at a temperature of 24-25°C (75-79°F). Following malolactic fermentation, the wine was aged for about 4 months in tanks, and then it continued to mature in bottles for at least 5 months before release.
