Donnafugata Floramundi Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG Sicilia

Floramundi has an intense ruby color with bright purple reflections. The nose offers intense fruity aromas, particularly notes of cherries and violet flower, complemented by delicate balsamic nuances of laurel and spicy hints of nutmeg. On the palate, it is fresh and smooth, making it juicy and very pleasant to drink. The tannins are refined and well-integrated, showcasing the harmonious balance that Cerasuolo di Vittoria aspires to.

The youngest vines were harvested in early September, while most of the Frappato and Nero d’Avola grapes were picked between September 21st and 26th. The fermentation took place in stainless steel with maceration on the skins for about 10 days at a temperature of 25-28°C. After malolactic fermentation, the wine aged in tanks for 7 months, followed by at least 6 months of bottle aging before release.
